Diversified Exhibitions Australia to acquire FFTSE
Diversified Exhibitions Australia (DEA) has agreed to purchase the Full Frontal Tile & Stone Expo (FFTSE). Diversified owns and runs more than 30 of the biggest industry-specific trade and consumer shows in Australia, including Grand Designs Australia, Fine Food Australia and designEX.
DEA Managing Director Matt Pearce said, “We intend to integrate a tile and stone event into designEX, commencing in Sydney in 2014, as part of an increased focus on hard and soft surface finishes, coatings and façade materials. We have a long and successful association with FFTSE’s principal Tony Stock and he will be responsible for sales of related exhibition space and development of an appropriate seminar programme.
In due course we will announce further information which will include the title we assign to this segment of designEX. We are delighted to work with Tony and look forward to maximising the original FFTSE concept by attracting industry, together with architects and designers who will be able to make appropriate material comparisons.”
Tony Stock, CEO of the Australian Stone Advisory Association and publisher of Tile Today, Discovering Stone and the Tile+Stone Annual commented,
“This is an exciting development which should provide members of the tile and stone industries with opportunities to promote their product to a wider audience. The first Full Frontal Tile & Stone Expo received a ‘Best New Show’ Finalist award from the Exhibitions & Events Association of Australia, I look forward to working with Diversified to maximise the potential of this concept.”
