Caesarstone officially opens in Richmond Hill, Georgia, USA
Caesarstone became the first company to relocate to Richmond Hill, GA in 35 years. Business leaders, lawmakers, state, city and county officials, and hundreds more, were on hand as the celebrated manufacturer of quartz surfaces opened its US$130 million North American premises.
“Of course, we are very excited; it is a big step for us. It is a new phase and this factory will allow us to service the American market much better,” said Caesarstone CEO Yos Shiran.
“This is going to be a great thing for the city of Richmond Hill,” Harold Fowler, the city’s mayor, enthused. “This is the first new industry we have had in 35 years. It will be nice to have students graduating from high school with a good-paying job close to home, rather than having to leave to go to work.”
The facility currently employs 107 people and an additional 80 will be brought on board when a second production line opens in the latter stages of this year. Plans are already being made for additional lines.
Caesarstone’s guests were treated to a catered lunch, video presentation and tours of the state-of-the-art facility. The company’s sought after products were displayed throughout.
